2013 is a year of great focus for Soriah. It happens to be a year of the quinquennial (five year cycle) International Throat Singing Symposium taking place June 12-16th in Kyzyl, Tuva. The last Symposium in 2008 awarded Soriah 3rd place out of 86 soloists. There is much to prepare for. Also, there will be a short tour in Europe including the elusive (at least for artists) Wave Gotik Treffen Festival in Leipzig prior to the Siberian Odyssey.
A new album of traditional Tuvan folk songs put out under Soriah’s Tuvan name “UGER-KHAN” will be available this May. Recording is currently under way with Daniel Riddle at King Black Acid’s Mazinga Studio.
